About "Dual Roles"
Do you want to run a Barn Dance, Ceilidh or Twmpath but haven't got the resources for a big event? Are you fund-raising and want to pass as much money on to your "good cause" as possible? Dual Roles will provide a full evening of entertainment that includes everybody at a budget price. Is your evening in a small venue? Dual Roles requires very little space for themselves leaving as much room as possible for the dancing. Dual Roles provides its own PA and equipment. All you need supply is one 13 amp socket in good electrical order. Dual Roles is based in the Cardiff area of South Wales. |
About the Caller

Mic Spenceley began calling for social dances at Ramsgate Folk Dance Club in 1975. He soon built a reputation for a light-hearted approach to a wide repertoire of dances of all styles; English, American, Contras, Ceilidh, Playford etc. Since then he has called at festivals in Bedworth, Broadstairs, Chippenham, Eastbourne, Sidmouth and Whitby. He has called with many of the UK's top bands including The Falconers, Fiddlin' Around, Junction 24, Blue Mountain, Wild Thyme, Peeping Tom, Weston Country Dance Band, English Mustard, Dargason, Alterations, Cat's Whiskers, 3D, Ring O' Bells, Climax Ceilidh Band, Stomp, Cat's Claw, Ceilidh Chasers, Juice. Mic also plays electric bass and as well as running his own bands has played with The Falconers, Smith Square, The Rigadoons, The Ranchers, Ring O' Bells and currently in the RUFF & Tumble Ceilidh Band |
About the Musician

Lyndsay Bird, keyboards, has been playing for ceilidhs since 1991 with various bands including "Mostly John" in Mid-Wales, "Square Root" in Hampshire" and currently with RUFF & Tumble Ceilidh Band in South Wales . The keyboard produces the live sound of a full band in a way that fills a dance hall and enlivens the dancers. |
